Soaring Hill Hickory Syrup is a small, local, artisnal company located in Adrian, Michigan, southwest of Ann Arbor. They developed their own hickory syrup from the bark of the shagbark hickory trees. To bark extract they add beet sugar from Bay City, MI. The syrups taste is surprisingly complex: sweet, smokey, and woody, buttery, with a finishing tang. Use as you would Maple syrup or in marinades, drinks and desserts.
